James D. Moore was born in Danville, Illinois on June 3, 1952 and was raised in Greencastle, Indiana. Mr. Moore graduated from DePauw University in 1974 with high honors. While attending Indiana University School of Law, Mr. Moore was the assistant Articles Editor for the Indiana Law Journal and was selected for membership to the Order of the Coif because of his excellent academic achievement. Mr. Moore was an associate at the law firm of Barnes Hickam, Pantzer & Boyd until he joined the law firm of Ryan, Hartzell & Ryan in 1981 and became a partner January 1, 1983.
Mr. Moore primarily represents businesses and individuals in regard to real estate and commercial loan transactions, property tax abatement, creditor's rights and other commercial and business matters. Mr. Moore presently serves as counsel to the Clinton County Area Plan Commission. Mr. Moore has been a seminar panel member on the topic of Commercial Real Estate Financing in Indiana, speaking on the topics of Loan Agreements and issues in Commercial Construction Financing. Mr. Moore is a member of the board of directors of The Farmers Bank, Frankfort, Indiana, St. Vincent Hospital, and the president of the Clinton County Election Board. Mr. Moore has also served as the past president and member of the Board of Directors of the St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital Foundation, past president of the Frankfort Kiwanis Club, was a founding board member of Frankfort Main Street and served as a coach and as a director of Frankfort Youth Football League.
